IT’S PARTY TIME!!
The Castle Heights Party Book is one of our best FUNraisers (see what I did there??)
WHAT IS A PARTY BOOK??
Families within our community volunteer to throw a themed party* - either at your home, at someone else’s home, an office, a classroom at the school, ANYWHERE. Castle Heights families pay to attend that party and all that money goes to our beloved school through Friends of Castle Heights Elementary. Each party goes up for bidding at our Annual Spring Auction. This year on-line bidding for the parties, and a wide variety of other great auction items, begins on March 1, 2018.
WHO THROWS THESE PARTIES, OF WHICH YOU SPEAK?
Well… YOU hopefully; and some of your friends, too. We rely on our CHES families to host parties. They’re great fun and an excellent way to meet other people from our school.
WHERE DOES ALL THIS MONEY GO?
As always, money raised by Friends of Castle Heights Elementary goes to our enrichment programs: paying teacher’s aides, PE programs, computer lab and the new computers in it, science, front office support, playground supplies, field trips, to name just a few.
WHAT KIND OF PARTY SHOULD I THROW?
We can help!! If you think you want to host, grab a friend(s) to co-host. If you can’t find anyone, talk to your child’s teacher about partnering on a class party for your grade level. As for a theme, contact your Party Book Co-Chairs at any time, we are happy to brainstorm with you.
*Here are some past Party Book themes:
Learn to Salsa, Kid’s Art with the Teachers (at school), Movie Matinee with Ms. Gallet, Poker Night, Kentucky Derby Party, Swim Up Summertime Movie and Pool Party, Progressive Dinner with your neighbors, Learn to Play Mahjong, among many others.
Parties can be adults only, kids only or a combo of both.
OKAY, I GET IT… SO, NOW WHAT??
All of the parties will be available for bidding on-line beginning March 1, 2018. Bid on the ones that pique your interest and go have fun! Parties will be scheduled to take place, starting after the auction, through the end of the year. We promise, a good time will be had by all.
Feel free to contact us with any questions. We’re here to help!
THANK YOU!!!!! for your interest in PARTY BOOK.
Your Party Book Co-Chairs,
Nina Weinman and Meeta Hoffman
